My little "ghouls" at Halloween ;)

Hope your Halloween was happy and safe!

TODAY: I am thankful for sticky fingers, messy rooms, and smooshing kisses.

Holiday cards

Believe it or not, today I started contemplating our Christmas cards. I WAY over-ordered last year, so I still have about 50 left over (the envelopes are gone, of course, since I used them all for other purposes). I like the 4x6 card format, but I'd really like to try a 5x7 this year. I'm looking at Shutterfly's cards, and so far here are my favorites (and why):

Snow Flurries Cocoa Christmas Card

I LOVE the colors on this one. The card is called "snow flurries cocoa christmas card" - and I can see why. The brown really does remind me of hot cocoa, which my family drinks EVERY night during the month of December (hello, beloved family tradition!).

Be Merry red Christmas card

I actually really love this one, too. It's 5x5 instead of 5x7, but I'm kind of digging the square shape. It's so different, you just KNOW it's gonna stick out in the mail when the person you've sent it to pulls it out of the mailbox! The only issue I have with it is that I have 6 names to put on the bottom of the card, and I'm wondering if they will all fit on there!

Starry Starry Snowflakes Christmas card

I think this one has to be my hands-down favorite. Why? The shape (square) is awesome. The color scheme matches the clothes one of my girls is wearing in the photo I plan to use. I haven't made my final decision yet, but so far it feels like I'm only going to use one photo, and this card is ideal for that. Also, I love using blue for holiday cards - all shades of blue!

Shutterfly also does return address labels, so it wouldn't be difficult to match the labels to the color scheme of the card(s) you choose...

Stationary Labels

and what could make a better gift than a photo mug? I love getting at least one per year, and everyone I've ever given them to has loved them too!
